CASPER – The 24th Annual Wyoming Women’s Ag Symposium is set for Nov. 9-10, 2017 in Casper at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center, 800 N. Poplar.
With the mission of recognizing women's important role in agriculture, their unique interests and needs to build a network of support, the Wyoming Women's Ag Symposium promises informative sessions.
The event opens Thursday, Nov. 9, at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres, and keynote speaker Kevin Ochsner on “Connecting and Communicating with Consumers.” The evening is free and open to all.
Ochsner is a senior consultant for Adayana Agribusiness Group. Over the last 23 years, he has worked with many of North America’s leading agribusinesses in the animal health, crop protection, feed, fertilizer, seed and ag machinery industries.
The conference starts Friday, Nov. 10, at 8 a.m. with registration and coffee. Keynote speak Amanda Radke will discuss “Dynamics of Multi-Generational Operations” at 9:15 a.m. Breakout sessions begin at 10:45 a.m. and lunch at 12 p.m.
A second set of breakouts will begin at 1 p.m. The conference will conclude following closing announcements, prize drawings and a final shopping opportunity at 3:15 p.m.
One highlight is the diverse trade show with dozens of vendors and a variety of goods crafted and sold by women from around the state. This is a must-attend conference for women or those interested in agriculture. Registration is $30 and includes lunch.
