Third Marbleton mayoral candidate files

MARBLETON – Town voters have a third mayoral candidate to consider before municipal election for the Marbleton Town Council – D’Undra Hunter.

Hunter filed on March 26 just before the town’s deadline, according to clerk Shannon McCormick.

Longtime Mayor Jim Robinson filed for the town position, as did Randy Thompson.

Councilman B.J. Meador has filed again for his four-year term; councilmember Mack Bradley did not. Karen Wenz is running for the seat.

For the Big Piney Town Council, the two four-year terms now held by Michelle Hymas and Scott Scherbel will be open. Scherbel filed again; Hymas did not. Two more council candidates, Tawnya Miller and Sierra Banks, are running for the council.

Both municipal elections will take place on Tuesday, May 11, with voting planned at the Marbleton Town Hall and the Big Piney Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
