WYOMING – The state’s unemployment rate fell to 3.7 percent, much lower than the national rate of 4.2 percent, and Sublette County’s unemployment numbers were reported at 2.8 percent in the latest Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Research & Planning section numbers released Dec. 20.
Sublette’s numbers fell in line with what they have been, tying for the third-highest rate with Sweetwater County. Only Natrona County (3.1 percent) and Teton County (2.9) had higher unemployment rates.
According to the state Department of Workforce Services, unemployment rates fell in 16 counties, rose in four and remained unchanged in three.
All of these numbers were better than the November 2020 numbers, which were unusually high due to the pandemic. Wyoming registered a 5.3-percent unemployment rate at that time.
The state’s December unemployment numbers will be released on Jan. 24, 2022.
