BIG PINEY — It’s easy to get swept away in the excitement of a much-needed long weekend but area residents still took the time to remember and honor the fallen on Memorial Day, with special ceremonies held throughout Sublette County.

In Big Piney, the American Legion Post No. 78 and the American Legion Auxiliary partnered to place flags on headstones and honor all fallen soldiers with a special ceremony at the Plainview Cemetery.

The service was followed by a luncheon.
