PINEDALE – Established pianist Wynona Wang is coming to Pinedale for a performance this week presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council.
Wang, first prize-winner of the 2018 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, will be performing the works of Mozart, Ravel and Rachmaninoff during An Evening with Wynona Wang in Sheppard Auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m.
She is an active performer across the world and recently earned a Performer’s Diploma at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. During her time at SMU she appeared in multiple concerto performances, recitals and chamber music concerts.
Wang made her New York debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall in the 2019-20 season and has proceeded to play at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, Krannert Center and Merkin Hall.
She will also be performing for students and schools throughout the week leading up to her performance to the public. On Monday, Jan. 24, she’ll perform for grades 3-12 in Big Piney. On Tuesday, Jan. 25, she’ll perform for all Pinedale preschool classes at 10 a.m. inside the Pinedale Library’s Lovatt Room – which is open to parents and home-school students. She’ll then play for Pinedale Elementary School students on Wednesday, Jan. 26, prior to her evening public performance.
Tickets for her public performance on Jan. 26 are available locally at Pine Coffee Supply, The Cowboy Shop, Office Outlets, the Big Piney Library and at the door before the performance in addition to online at pinedalefinearts.com. Tickets are $20 for adults and $7 for students, with an additional $2 charge at the door the day of the performance.
