Jenks captures first place

Jenks pulled ahead of the pack to win first place in the Division 2 boys’ varsity race. He clocked in at 16 minutes, 10.60 seconds, edging out the runner-up from Longmont by 22 seconds. Jenks also beat his personal record by 14 seconds, said Head Jackson Coach Jeff Brazil. ‘This season is going to be exciting for Jenks as it was clear it wasn’t a huge effort for him,’ Brazil added. The invitational featured competitors from about 90 schools split into three divisions and Division 2 counted 126 runners.
