Hangar burns at airport

A large structure fire broke out at Ralph Wenz Airport on Friday night. Fire crews from Pinedale, Boulder and Big Piney responded to the blaze, according to Mike Petty, Sublette County Unified Fire public information officer. The town of Pinedale used the hangar to store tractors and snowplows. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and an assessment of the losses is being carried out. Maureen Rudnick, Pinedale clerk-treasurer, said that the firefighters did a great job removing some of the more expensive items from the building and preventing the fire from spreading.
