Former employee seeks jury trial

SUBLETTE COUNTY – A former convenience store employee charged with 18 individual counts of misdemeanor theft pleaded not guilty to the charges on Nov. 30 efore Sublette County Circuit Court Judge Curt Haws.

Logan W. Kecskes allegedly took 18 single-shot containers from the store’s shelves while he was working, several times a day over five days in October. The store owner told Sublette County Deputy Todd Morgan she saw the thefts on her surveillance recordings; the deputy investigated and recommended 18 separate charges, according to an affidavit.

Each “shooter” costs $2.29 for a total value of $41.22, the owner said.

His six-person jury trial is set for one day of April 22.

If found guilty on each count, Kecskes could face a total maximum of 9 years in jail and $13,500 in fines.
