SUBLETTE COUNTY – Following a two-year hiatus, the Pinedale Fine Arts Council is once again hosting its Kentucky Derby fundraiser on Saturday, May 7, at the Sublette County Fairgrounds.
All proceeds from the event go to benefit kids’ arts programming in Pinedale and Big Piney.
Events begin with a cocktail hour at 3:30 p.m. up until a live airing of this year’s Kentucky Derby. At roughly 4:45 p.m., eight locally sponsored teams consisting of three people will race around a newly created racetrack at the fairgrounds to vie for the title of “Run for the Roses” champion. A fully catered dinner – with food from Mallards, Makers 2 and Obo’s – is scheduled for attendees at 6 p.m.
The day will also involve raffles, hat contests, Calcutta and music. On-site childcare is available.
Tickets for the event are $40 and available through Office Outlet locations and the Cowboy Shop, as well as online at pinedalefinearts.com.
