DEQ gets request for work on North Cottonwood Creek

SUBLETTE COUNTY – Gillilan Associates have applied for a temporary increase in turbidity in North Cottonwood Creek near Daniel, according to a release from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. The temporary increase in turbidity is associated with proposed stream restoration.
According to the DEQ, activity in cold water streams like North Cottonwood Creek is normally limited to 10 NUT increase over background. Approval of this request would allow an excess of that limit up to 30 total working days, subject to monitoring and reporting.
