SUBLETTE COUNTY – It is bittersweet but fitting that when the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2023 inductees, the list includes Dru and Tawny Roberts of Daniel.

The couple was together forever, whether riding, counting cattle or watching a Big Piney Punchers’ football game. Dru’s untimely passing last year saddened many friends and left a noticeable hole in the annual celebration on East Green River Road – the Sommers Ranch Living History Museum’s end-of-season party and recognition of Cowboy Hall of Fame’s men women and families honored for their lifestyles.

The upcoming Sublette County celebration on Sunday, Sept. 3, and the Cowboy Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony takes place later in September.

Along with Drew and Tawny Roberts, Region 10’s other inductees for 2023 include names from the past – William Patrick Dew and Carl and Bud Jorgenson of Sublette County and Tom Breen and Mike Taylor of Teton County.

For Region 9, the 2023 inductees are Ray C. Fritz of LaBarge and C.B. Hamilton and Richard Henry Hamilton of Fort Bridger.
