BIG PINEY – The 83rd annual Chuckwagon Days was another big hit last Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4, where the crowds came out to enjoy the festivities, starting with the Lil’ Buckaroo Rodeo on Monday night.
On Tuesday, July 4, the morning kicked off with the Chuckwagon Chug 5K and 10K run as well as the pancake breakfast. Then it was on to the parade, which was a big hit for attendees, who lined the entire length of Budd Avenue in Big Piney.
Folks then hopped in their cars and made their way to the fairgrounds, where another scrumptious barbecue was served to the masses. A short jaunt over to the Buss Fear Rodeo Arena for the Chuckwagon Rodeo capped off the afternoon’s activities.
By evening, folks hung out by the Big Piney Library for the street dance before enjoying the festive Fourth of July fireworks show.
