On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25, 689 people signed the guest books and had their photos taken for posterity at the Sublette County Centennial Barn Dance. Above, Debbee Woyciesjes helps Ellen Reed, who also just turned 100, cut the specially decorated cake. The event was wildly successful in all ways, with local grocers, food trucks, caterers and restaurants pitching in to present the crowds with fresh fruit and veggies, sushi, appetizers, a full meal and special cakes as part of the ‘Taste of Wyoming. Andy and Jim Nelson acted as emcees and introduced special speakers. Photographers set up their corners to take everyone’s picture; people of all ages pitched endless rounds of cornball and danced to Jared Rogerson and his Rodeo Wreck Band at the Sublette County Fairgrounds Event Center. The Sublette Centennial Committee’s event came together with the assistance of many volunteers dedicating many hours.
