Golfers turn out to raise funds for veterans

The temperature hovered at 36 degrees Fahrenheit Saturday morning,

but that didn’t discourage the dozens of golfers who turned out at Rendezvous Meadows

Golf Course for the Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament.

The shotgun start began with a cannon fired by Robert Siedler. Golfers and veterans

stood at attention as Reveille was played on the bugle by Morgan Johnston. It wasn’t just

a game of golf; there were raffles and prizes.

All funds go toward adding another monument at the American Legion Park as added

names have filled existing spaces.
