BP Hall of Fame announces new class

BIG PINEY – On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Big Piney Hall of Fame will start its second decade of honoring past Big Piney High School graduates and athletes.

New inductees into the Hall of Fame include multi-sport athletes Steve Hughes and Bill Tanner. Former BPHS track athlete and University of Wyoming track standout Jace Marx will be the third Puncher inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Four graduates will be inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Division of the Big Piney Hall of Fame, honoring their accomplishments at the local, state and national levels.

The inductees this year include Casey Osborn from the Class of 1974, Jenna (Chandler) Banks, Class of 1987, and Kenna Tanner, Class of 1988. K.C. Lehr, Class of 1993, rounds out this year’s honored alumni.

Margy Hawley is also being honored for her long-time support and efforts working with the Hall of Fame for the past 10 years.

Organizers hope many past Hall of Famers will be in attendance to be acknowledged during the evening’s event.

The BPHS induction ceremony will be at the Marbleton Senior Center on Sept. 24. The reception will begin at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

The cost for the banquet and ceremony is $35. Tickets will be made available at a later date as the time approaches.
