Bondurant celebrates 80th annual BBQ


BONDURANT – It was just like the good old days on Sunday afternoon, June 26, a perfect day to eat, listen to great music, visit with old friends and eat an excellent meal of slow-roasted beef, potato salad, cole slaw and sauerkraut, all made according to the original recipes.

Luscious homemade desserts were served, from rhubarb bread pudding to chocolate cakes and brownies to berry cobblers, worth the visit.

All told, 532 tickets were sold, putting a huge dent in two beeves roasted overnight in a fire pit, one donated by the Little Jennie Ranch and one by the Alice Brown Trust. Proceeds benefit the Bondurant Community Club’s outreach to help where needed.
