Chuckwagon Days celebration is huge hit

Where else

but Sublette County can you find Miss

Wyoming enjoying the annual community

beef barbecue, after watching Aladdin

and his Magic Carpet roll down the

main street, and spinning bulls trying to

throw 8-second riders with a glorious sunset

behind the Wyoming Range?

This entire spirit of Chuckwagon Days

is celebrated every year over the Fourth of

July holiday in Marbleton and Big Piney.

This year, the two towns collaborated

even more closely to provide a seamless

experience for locals, visitors and passersby.

Hundreds and thousands showed

up for every event, starting with the

Chuckwagon Days Rodeo on Wednesday

night and culminating on the Fourth with

the always-free community barbecue of

1,200 pounds of beef for 1,300 or so diners.

At dark, everyone paused and parked

to watch another fabulous fireworks show

shot off at Marbleton Hill between the

two towns.
