Big Piney senior secures Kaiser Scholarship

STATEWIDE — A big Piney High School student is one of 10 “outstanding graduating seniors of Wyoming high schools” to receive a $4,000 scholarship from the Kaiser Foundation. Israel G. Chavez Zuniga was selected based on his academic, extracurricular and community service achievements.
To date, the Kaiser Foundation has awarded more than $2.4 million in scholarships to Wyoming students. The foundation was established in 1986 by Curt Kaiser, founder of Kaiser and Company, to “promote higher educational standards by providing educational opportunities for exemplary students.”
Curt Kaiser is quoted at saying, “By supporting Wyoming’s best and brightest students, the Kaiser Foundation recognizes that our youth will determine the future of our state and nation.”
