Big Piney Parade

All lit up! A brightly decorated water tanker leads fire trucks from Sublette County Unified Fire – a blaring end to the parade.

Thick fog and bitter cold temperatures

did not keep holiday revelers of all ages

from celebrating the annual Parade of

Lights in Big Piney on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Sixteen floats, along with brightly lit fire

trucks, made their way down Budd Avenue

as part of the event sponsored by the towns

of Big Piney and Marbleton. Following

the parade, folks trekked to the community

Christmas tree to await the lighting. Big

Piney Mayor Tyler Maxfield delivered a

Christmas message. Kara Losik, with the

Town of Big Piney, turned the power on,

bringing light to a foggy evening. The Big

Piney Library opened its doors with cookies

and other Christmas treats for people

to come in out of the cold following the

parade.
