SUBLETTE COUNTY – Yet another Sublette County resident passed away from COVID-19 last week, Public Health confirmed in its latest update issued Nov. 19. At least one county resident has died of the novel coronavirus each week since the week of Oct. 8 to 15.
This brings the county’s total death toll to 22 since the start of the pandemic.
Public Health confirmed 18 active cases in the county in its update, with Wyoming Department of Health reporting 42 new cases in the week leading up to the update. This kept Sublette County in the moderate-high transmission zone for community spread for the second consecutive week.
As of Nov. 15, a total of 3,085 people have been fully vaccinated in Sublette County. That’s about 31.38 percent of the county’s population.
Public Health continues to offer weekly COVID vaccine clinics in its offices. Due to high demand for vaccines at this time, it is strongly recommended people call 307-367-2157 to schedule an appointment. Those clinics are held at the Marbleton office from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and the Pinedale office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays – although no Pinedale clinic will be held this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
