2022 Spring Expo ‘Growing the Bounty of Sublette County’ is June 18

The Sublette County Conservation District is excited to host its fifth Spring Expo “Growing the Bounty of Sublette County” on June 18 at the Sublette County Ice Arena! The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be packed full of amazing vendor booths and activities.

Vendor products include local meats, native garden plants, maple syrup, food trucks, jams & jellies, handmade garden decor, breads, homemade salad dressings, soaps, seasonings, lawn & garden implements, bird houses and more! We will also be hosting a kids’ activity booth where youth will get to participate in a nature-themed tree cookie craft.

There will be three educational presentations throughout the day. At 10 a.m., a group of very experienced gardening panelists will be discussing gardening challenges and tips and tricks for gardening success in western Wyoming.

At 11:30 a.m., Little Mountain Farm will be presenting on growing indoors year-round using aeroponic grow towers. Lastly, at 1 p.m., Sublette County Conservation District will be covering products and tools that we have available to all landowners.

Once again, Sage & Snow Garden Club will be there selling perennial flowers that have been lifted from their local gardens – this booth sells out every year! Chicken poop bingo squares will be sold throughout the day and the chickens will be “let out of the cage” at 1 p.m. Funds raised will go to the 4-H Foundation. SCCD will also have a seedling tree booth with a variety of tree survival supplies. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the day, and a raffle will be held for seedling tree kits, which will go to support the purchase of Arbor Day trees for youth across Sublette County.

This event would not be possible without the help from our sponsors: Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, Barnyards & Backyards, Sublette BOCES, the Wyoming Community Foundation and The Nature Conservancy. We are excited to have so many great vendors joining us again this year and hope to see a good turnout from the community.

This is a free, family-oriented event. Mark your calendars, we look forward to seeing you in June!
