PUBLIC NOTICE - CALL FOR BIDS

Sublette County School District No. 9 of Big Piney, Wyoming is receiving lump sum sealed bids for purchase of a set of four (4) mobile, heavy vehicle lifts.  Lifts must have 13,000 to 14,500 lbs. column lift capacity with no less than a GVW of 36,000 lbs. capacity per set.  Wireless remote control operation with 110-240V charging, battery condition meter, lift height indicator and wheel forks for wheels 13” to 22.5”.  Bids shall include the cost of equipment setup and training.  Additionally, vendors must include warranty and equipment servicing information for the equipment bid.  Preference is for no less than 72-hour service request response.

Pursuant to Wyoming State 16-6-106, preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state. The bidder is additionally required to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

The Owner reserves the privilege of rejecting any or all bid proposals, or waiving any irregularities or formalities in the bidding.  Submit written bid proposals to Sublette County School District No. 9, PO Box 769, 115 South Nichols Street, Big Piney, Wyoming  83113.  Sealed bid shall be marked “SCSD #9 Lift Bid” with Vendor address and contact information on the outside of the envelope.  The District Business Office must receive bids no later than the 20th day of March 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  Bids will not be accepted after this date and time.

PUBLIC NOTICE - CALL FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that Sublette County School District #9 of Big Piney, Wyoming, does hereby call for bids for a general construction contract for the project:  BIG PINEY HIGH SCHOOL SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT.

This project is generally described as the BPHS Sidewalk Replacement and Heating System Improvements, which is located at 916 Piney Drive, Big Piney, WY.  The project consists of demolition and replacement of approximately 11,600 SF of concrete sidewalk and 9,200 SF of concrete entrance pad.  The 6,000+- SF front entrance also includes installation of approximately 14,000 LF of hydronic tubing for a snowmelt system.  New boilers, transmission piping, manifolds, and controls for the complete hydronic/heat transfer system are also included.

Construction Documents Plans and Specifications will be made available on Thursday March 21, 2019 through the office of the Engineer, William H. Smith and Associates, Inc. (WHS), 1515 9th Street, Suite A, Rock Springs, Wyoming 82901 (307)-362-6065.  Hardcopies may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $100.00.  Digital copies will be available through the online bidding service questCDN.  (Links and job name/number available through Engineer’s office after 3/21/19.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on-site at BPHS Thursday March 28, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.  Potential Bidders must have representatives for both site civil (concrete) and mechanical (hydronic/boiler system) disciplines in attendance.  Questions may be directed to the office of the Engineer at the above address, phone number, or email until 5:00pm Thursday April 4, 2019.

Additional items pertaining to bid bonds, DBEs, schedules, submittal requirements, and other project bidding details may be found in the available construction documents.

All bids will be received until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday April 9, 2019 when they will be opened by WHS.  All bids shall be filed with the office of the Engineer WHS, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Electronic submittal of bids will be accepted.  The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the bidder who in the opinion of the School District is the lowest and the most responsible bidder for the item(s) required in the bid proposal, subject to the resident bidder preference described below.

In accordance with Section 16-6-102, Wyoming Statutes, the contract shall be let to the most responsible resident bidder making the lowest bid if such resident’s bid is not more than five percent (5%) higher than that of the lowest most responsible non-resident bidder.

Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, “preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state.”

The School District shall have the power to reject any and all bids or waive any informality in same.  No bidder shall be allowed to withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days or until the successful bidder has entered into a contract with Sublette County School District #9.
