BIG PINEY – The Sublette County boys swim team held one final regular season meet against the Kemmerer Rangers in Big Piney last Thursday in preparation of the upcoming conference meet in Riverton this weekend.

During last Thursday’s meet at the Big Piney High School pool, Sublette earned a 93-61 victory, despite a number of athletes struggling with illness, according to head coach Chris Calabro.

“The team has been working hard and battling sicknesses, so they swam strong, but tired,” she said.

Junior Garrett Nielson was able to earn a qualifying time for the looming state meet in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:19.94, which the coach was pleased to see.
